Which way up is that Christmas Tree?

SHOPPERS may have been excused for thinking one of this year's Christmas decorations in Newport town centre were a little abstract.
Contractors for Newport Parish Council England, the Festive Lighting Company, caused shoppers to look twice at one particular Christmas tree decoration in St James's Square by installing one half of it the right way up and the other half, upside down.
Howard Smith, chef of the Blue Door cafe, Newport, said: "I tried to work out what it was and then realised it was supposed to be a Christmas tree. You've got to laugh." 
Parish clerk Maxine Yule promised to have the decoration corrected as soon as possible.
